Been thru alot this year. sch. SOB opening. Orientation. sch. Track IVP. Ny bsm. been to shanghai, bangkok and kl. Lost some frens, gain some frens. Got to know you. Made a very tight bunch of frens.

U say that its impossible not to regret anything. well. the person we all become are due to the mistakes and successes we make. and we must learn from both because our Lord throws both at us for growth and without the regrets, we won't learn to trust in him.

In every victory i had this year, let it be said of me, my source of strength came from the Lord.

i got a B for psych. i'm quite screwed.

aargh. in new york rite now. cold. wasn't looking forward to the trip initially. was abit sick before leaving. once i got back from bangkok, i think i had quite a high fever and sore throat. so on the 18 hour plane rite there, slept through most of it. contrary to what most pple think, SIA food is quite good! oh. before flying off, lex's parents brought lionel and me and lex to the SIA first class lounge.. where we watched the man u game.. CHELSEA CAN GO SUCKIT!!! :) drank beer, had chicken wings, and hagen daz ice cream. haha.

when we reached, which was on sunday noon, after checking into the hotel, went to walk around new york. we stay at times square, so shopped alot. didn't do much besides that. walked around with dot and thenuga. they are quite nice... and not so scary outside the classroom.

monday- we went to see the new york stock exchange, then ground zero, then went to visit edelman newyork. then we went to soho to shop. ate xiaolongbao in chinatown for dinner. slept early cos i think i was still jet lagged.

today we visited fox sports in the morning, and then sony in the afternoon. lunchtime we went to visit trump towers and niketown. after that dot desmond and i had dinner at some thai restaraunt, and then we watched chicargo! it was good. but i wasn't all that impressed. i think lion king would have been better. gwen waiting for you to come so that we can watch it with neil. although i somehow think he might not want to watch.

just came back and showered. the rest went to watch rent instead, so no ones back yet. desmond went up to sleep and dot... dunno what happened to dot. haha.

i got a B for psych. somehow i don't think i'm going to get much sleep tonight.

its saturday morning. Just got out of bed not too long ago. wondering y i've been sleeping so so much these 2 days.

just came back from bangkok on thursday nite. arrived there on tuesday, didn't get cheated by the airport taxi service, and met up with the cheerleaders at rangsit university. we had a bbq there, but not enough food! so went with eileen and addy to eat just outside. the next day we went shopping! woah. i hate shopping. hahaha. but once in a while its good la. came back at about 10 pm and went to sleep. the next day i bummed and flew off.

but i was really really glad i went. thank you for bringing me around dear, and thanks to all your frens too! didn't really feel like leaving tho. its going to be a long 20 days. but i think after the trip, i don't need to worry so much cos i think u'll miss me too! hahahaha. *evil grin*

There are only a few things in life that are more important than soccer. seriously. the question therefore is the individual's definition and mental representation of what exactly and specifically constitutes the definition of the english word. few of course being the topic of discussion.

Wayne Rooney of course would have "0" in his deffinition of the subject. seeing that soccer his is life.

Ian Kwokish on the OTHER hand, would have a list as long as my.... :)

3. Had dinner with Ian and Phebs. And King yau. Ian needs to learn how to eat faster. Phebs later suggested that the last one to eat must wash the dishes.

4. Had supper with Aaron Goh and Phebs. Happy Birthday Aaron. Phebs should not eat more than other guys. like me. :)

5. Wanted to go swimming but class ended late.

6. Bought Jayne lunch. Hope you do well for your test daughter!!

7. Met Da, Mich, and some unknown person while walking back from the bustop.

9. Got visited by my dear genius (and nerdy looking one) :) at nite. Thanks for the bear!! I thought it was orange in colour last nite but when i woke up it was pink!!! Pls sleep more today. and please please please give me all the cans of coffee you bought. :) and i'm not pissed at you. just wanted you to sleep more.

10. I found out that i spelt CRYSTAL"s name as Crytal. Sorry babe!!! but quite cute what. no? ahha. sounds like the cute thing from critters (michelle also says so) :)

My pastor (of all pple) showed us this poem yest. I felt that his message was very passionate but not very well put. I have a belief that for church, whoever is preaching, or leading worship, should focus on the people, just like a speaker would focus on an audience. and they shoudn't get caught up in their own worship, or their own passion.

but thats not the point.

The point is the message of the poem that counts. I think its brilliant. Its just a way to say, essentially, that your fate is determined by who you are, and not what fate gives you.

I was contemplating if i should spent democracy typing out a literary crtique and explanation of the poem. but i decided against it cos i think any critique would be an insult to the poet, and to the universal, honest and sincere message.

and to a certain extent, cos i believe in the message too.

was having lunch with prof mark after bsm class, when he asked if we would like to visit any museums in new york. he asked us for our preference between modern art and traditional art. I think there is a vast difference between them:

traditional art: an artist's impression of a particular scene

modern art: our impression of the artist's impression of a particular scene?

so in a sence, modern art has brought us closer, at leasy by a step, to see through the eyes of another person? for if our eyes are the window of our soul, perhaps art opens that window to the world of wonder. a bit of heaven? if heaven is the collective of all our imaginations. just a thot.
